Q / what is an Online Auction sale?
A / An alternative way to purchase items over the internet rather than spend time in the auction room.
Q / What are the benefits of Online Auction?
A / (1) Worldwide Participation (2) Reduction in overhead costs (3) Strict control of potential buyers on site
(4) Assets situated in a number of different geographical locations can all be included in the same online auction
Q / Can I view items before the sale goes live on the internet?
A / certainly, generally the day before the Online auction clients are offered & encouraged the opportunity to view the items they want to bid on. However, more often than not, the items in one auction could be spread over several geographical locations.
Q / how long will the online auction run for?
A /Depending on the number of Lots listed for disposal but the auction will close at a predetermined time and date. We generally find 7 days is sufficient time for interested parties to place bids.
Q / what is a Tender?
A / in certain circumstances it is in the vendors interests to offer assets for sale by tender rather than auction. Where equipment is much specialised, or where there is unlikely to be a broad spectrum of interested buyers then it may be appropriate to conduct a sale by tender.
Q / How can I register to take part in an Online auction?
A / Before you can bid in a live Online auction we ask all genuine bidders to complete your name & address together with your bank or credit card details so that if you are successful to secure your item then payment can be taken once the auction is finished.
Q / What if I successfully buy an item at Online auction then find it faulty or in bad condition when we collect it?
A / Unfortunately goods sold at online auction DO NOT carry a guarantee. We recommend all potential bidders satisfy themselves by viewing the items prior to the online auction going live.
Q / Do you deliver?
A/ No, we DO NOT DELIVER, however, we are happy to prepare & package your goods for your courier collection.
Q / Can you hold an online auction just for me and how much would it cost?
A / in certain circumstances, for instance a bakery or factory closure, Yes. Providing you have sufficient items to generate the interest and work involved in the setting up of an online auction. Cost would again depend on the number of Lots listed and the time involved.
