Selling Your Assets with Us
Taylor & Co are Professional Auctioneers with considerable experience in the sale of a very wide range of machinery & business assets covering the whole industrial and commercial spectrum for clients in the UK and Worldwide. We welcome all sizes of asset disposal from single machines to multiple factory clearances. The method of disposal is influenced by the volume, value and location of the equipment for sale and at the specific wishes and objectives of the Seller. We Offer two methods of sale as follows:
1. Online Auction
An online auction is the most common method of disposal for industrial equipment and is the most effective way of realising a large number of individual assets within a relatively short and predetermined time frame. The assets for disposal are set out, photographed, catalogued and promoted. We advertise in all relevant trade press, send out mail-shots, e-mail news, specific trade based websites, and social media, we also list the items with BidSpotter our strategic partner, offering global exposure.
Prospective buyers can register and bid on the lots available. After a predetermined length of time the auction closes and (subject to meeting any reserve prices) the highest bidder on each lot becomes the buyer and is invoiced by us accordingly. There is normally a Viewing Day prior to the sale closing where interested parties can inspect the goods. However, many bidders, particularly those from overseas will often buy without inspecting the goods, relying entirely on the description and photographs provided by the Auctioneers. It is therefore important that the Auctioneers are technically competent, professional and honest in order to gain confidence of potential purchasers and ultimately ensure the best return for the seller.
We conduct online auctions from our client’s premises and from our Auction Rooms in Kenilworth, Warwickshire and Edinburgh, Scotland. For advice on all aspects of auction sale please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org or call + 44 (0) 333 355 8586
2. Tender Sale
In certain circumstances it is in the vendor’s interests to offer assets for sale by tender rather than auction.
Where equipment is much specialised, or where there is unlikely to be a broad spectrum of interested buyers then it may be appropriate to conduct a sale by tender.
